BENGALURU, 22 FEB

In a shocking incident, a 34-year-old cab driver was stabbed to death by his friend in Varthur on Friday evening, allegedly over the victim's inappropriate behaviour towards the accused's wife. The deceased, identified as Kishore, a native of Chitradurga residing in Bengaluru, was attacked around 7.30 pm near Kodathi Gate under the Varthur police station limits. The accused, Satish Reddy, fled the scene after the assault and is currently on the run. According to police sources, Reddy and Kishore were friends; however, their relationship had soured after Reddy accused Kishore of persistently flirting with his wife. Despite multiple warnings, Kishore allegedly continued the behaviour, leading to mounting tension between the two. On Friday evening, an inebriated Reddy confronted Kishore on the road and, in a fit of rage, stabbed him multiple times in the chest, abdomen, and other parts of the body.
