The Karnataka government has signed two pivotal Memoranda of Understanding aimed at establishing the State as India's premier innovation hub and a global centre for deep-tech.

The first MoU, inked with Coinbase India, a digital asset exchange platform, seeks to bolster Karnataka's reputation as an on-chain innovation capital and a cybersecurity centre of excellence. Under the agreement, collaboration will focus on strengthening the blockchain ecosystem through developer education, startup incubation, and public awareness initiatives.

The second MoU, with Refroid Technologies, introduces a cutting-edge, energy-efficient liquid-cooling portfolio tailored for next-generation AI and hyperscale workloads, aligning with India's ambition to "innovate for the world".

IT Minister Priyank Kharge remarked, "Through these partnerships, we aim to unlock new economic opportunities for our youth, build strong technical capability, and move rapidly toward our vision of making Karnataka a global pioneer in digital innovation."

Manjula N, Secretary of the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science and Technology, added that these initiatives would "catapult the state into a new realm of deep-tech economy and development."
