Priyank Kharge meets Montana Governor, discusses tech partnership
Karnataka and Montana identified five priority areas for technology and research collaboration.

The Karnataka government and the State of Montana in the US on Wednesday held discussions and identified a set of priority areas for deeper collaboration in technology, research, innovation and market access, officials said.
Home and IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge met the Montana Governor Greg Gianforte and their discussions focused on building a structured framework for collaboration between the two ecosystems, leveraging Karnataka’s strengths in technology, engineering, startups, semiconductors and biotechnology, and Montana’s specialised capabilities in quantum technologies, photonics, precision agriculture, biosciences and research-led innovation, according to a statement.
The two sides identified quantum and photonics, precision agriculture, bioscience and pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and chip design, and aerospace and space technologies as key areas with potential for collaboration.
