Bengaluru to face 6-hour power cut on 18 Nov

Bengaluru, 17 Nov


Several parts of Bengaluru will face a scheduled power outage on 18 November as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) undertakes urgent maintenance work.


According to an official release, power supply will be disrupted from 11am to 5pm due to essential repair and maintenance activities at the 66/11 kV Sobha City substation. BESCOM said the shutdown is required to carry out emergency works aimed at ensuring system safety and improving the reliability of supply in the future.


The six-hour outage will affect more than 20 neighbourhoods, including Sobha City, RK Hegde Nagar, Thanisandra and nearby areas.


Residents and commercial establishments in the affected zones have been advised to plan their activities accordingly.
