Karnataka Congress MLA Rizwan Arshad said it was good that Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya was speaking about infrastructure instead of spreading “communal hatred”.

“I welcome Tejasvi discussion on the infrastructure discussion,” he told Salar News on Friday. “He is late though. When BJP was in power he never spoke on all that. He spoke on halaal, etc.”

Arshad urged Surya to apply the same criticism to the Centre.

“I want him to ask the question to (Union Road Minister) Nitin Gadkari,” Arshad said. “(Gadkari) has said that he suggested the tunnel road project for Bengaluru. Why doesn't (Surya) critisise him.

“Tejasvi never speaks in Delhi,” Arshad quipped. “He is a good student there.”
