No religion promotes hatred: Siddaramaiah during Darul Quran Campus inauguration

CM Siddaramaiah emphasised that no religion promotes hatred and stressed education as the key to equality and self-respect while inaugurating Darul Quran Campus in Bengaluru.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that education was key to eliminating communal inequality. 


“No religion promotes hatred,” he said while inaugurating the Darul Quran Campus organised by JEU Group of Institutes in the City. “Education is key to this realisation.”


He added that education was essential for everyone, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. 


“Education is vital for a life of self-respect. Dr BR Ambedkar has stated that education is necessary to break free from social shackles,” he said.  “We are all Indians first, and only then Hindus, Muslims, or Christians.”


Expressing gratitude, he noted that the government, in collaboration with Azim Premji’s Wipro, is providing eggs are being provided to school children for six days. 


Among others, the guests of honour include AICC Secretary Mansoor Ali Khan, Chairman of State Waqf Board Syed Ali Al-Hussaini Ali Baba, MLAs NA Haris and Rizwan Arshad, and MP Nasir Hussain.
