Yashwanth Sardeshpande, a renowned playwright, actor, and director known for his comedic works, passed away in Bengaluru on 29 September at the age of 60, following a cardiac arrest at a private hospital.

 

He is survived by his wife Malati, also an actress, and their daughter. Born in Ukkali, Yashwanth's passion for theatre led him to Ninasam theatre school, where he earned a diploma.

 

He gained fame with the comedy ‘All The Best,’ which enjoyed over 500 performances across India and abroad.

 

Despite his successes, including notable work in television and films, his theatre school initiative in Hubballi faced challenges. Notable figures, including Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, have expressed their condolences.
