Man from Tamil Nadu murders his wife in Bengaluru, dies by suicide
The couple got married in September 2022 but had been living apart, with Dharmaseelan, a labourer from Tamil Nadu, working in Dubai.

Bengaluru, 29 Sept
In a distressing incident in Bengaluru, a 27-year-old nurse,
Manju, was allegedly murdered by her husband, Dharmaseelan, who then died by
suicide.
The tragedy unfolded at their home in Government Press Layout,
Ullal, on Sunday night. Manju's father, Periyaswamy, discovered their bodies upon
returning from Tumakuru around 9.30pm.
Finding the door locked, Periyaswamy and relatives used a
spare key to enter, where they found Manju dead with her throat slit, and
Dharmaseelan hanging from a ceiling fan.
Periyaswamy said, “It appears prima facie that Dharmaseelan
killed Manju before taking his own life."
The couple got married in September 2022 but had been living
apart, with Dharmaseelan, a labourer from Tamil Nadu, working in Dubai.
He returned to India a month ago and had stayed with Manju
before she resumed her job in Bengaluru. Just three days prior to the incident,
Dharmaseelan informed Periyaswamy that he was in Bengaluru, yet it remains
unclear if he had been living with Manju.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder-suicide.
