Bengaluru, 24 Sept

The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday dismissed two petitions by former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna to transfer the trial of the two pending rape cases against him from the Civil Judge to some other sessions court.

Revanna argued that the judge who is set to hear the case is biased against him because the Justice had earlier convicted him in another rape case.

“If that can be a ground for transfer of a criminal case, there would be petitions filed for transfer in almost all criminal cases where the accused feels that he may get convicted,” Justice MI Arun said, dismissing Revanna’s plea.
