MANDYA, 25 JULY

In a suspected case of food poisoning, ten students from a residential school were admitted to the hospital after experiencing severe stomach pain and other distressing symptoms at KM Doddi, within the Maddur taluk of Mandya district in the State, on Friday morning.

The students began to complain of vomiting and abdominal pain after consuming food provided by the school. Fortunately, all individuals are currently receiving treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.

A senior police official stated, “We have not yet received any formal complaints regarding the incident; however, considering the seriousness of the situation, a decision on the next steps will be made.” This incident follows closely on the heels of another suspected food poisoning case in Raichur district on Monday night, which tragically resulted in the deaths of three family members, while two others required hospitalisation.
