The City's infamous traffic congestion has once again sparked viral discussions online after a relatable Instagram post depicted one individual landing in Dubai while their friend was still ensnared in the city's notorious gridlock. The video, shared by food and travel vloggers Priyanka and Indrayani, featured the caption: "Dropped my friend at Bangalore Airport as she was leaving for Dubai. She reached Dubai, and I'm still stuck in Bangalore's traffic." This resonated with numerous residents, triggering a wave of sympathetic responses.

Many users recounted similar experiences. "My parents dropped me at the airport and they reached home at the same time as I landed in Delhi," commented @purvi_spammmm. Another resident, @kjjdilip, detailed how they remained stuck in traffic while their sister had already arrived in Mangalore.

Bengaluru’s traffic police have acknowledged these persistent issues, noting that rapid growth between 2013 and 2023 has outstripped the city’s infrastructure. Police Commissioner MN Anucheth underscored the challenges posed by inadequate public transport and the dramatic increase in vehicle numbers, stating that Bengaluru now holds the highest number of vehicles per capita in India.
