In a bizarre and
horrific incident, a woman allegedly killed one of her three pet dogs as part
of a suspected black magic ritual at an apartment in Chinnappa Layout’s Acme
Bellat complex, in the City. The incident came to light after the residents
living nearby informed civic officials of a strong stench coming from the
apartment.
The accused,
Triparna Paik, a native of West Bengal, reportedly strangled her Labrador and
cut its neck, four days ago. She then wrapped the body in cloth and left inside
the apartment, sealing all the windows and the doors. Residents began noticing
a foul stench spreading throughout the building, prompting them to alert Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials.
When the officials
and entered the apartment, they discovered the decomposed body of the dog.
The officials
found several black magic symbols at the scene. Notably, a Sri Yantra (a
mystical diagram used in tantric rituals) had been drawn around the dog's body,
with religious photos placed around the room and signs of puja being conducted.
A post-mortem
report of the dog confirmed that it had been killed approximately four days
ago. A case was registered at Mahadevapura Police Station. Investigations are
ongoing to determine the exact motive behind the horrific incident.
The other two dogs
were found tied to the wall.
"The dogs are
undergoing treatment at the BMP hospital," the complainant, Dr Rudresh
Kumar, said.
This shocking
incident has sparked outrage among animal lovers and raised serious questions
about pet safety.
