BJP plans protest against housing schemes corruption

In response to allegations of corruption in housing schemes
for the poor, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced plans for a protests
across the State. However, the party has yet to clarify when this demonstration
will occur.
BJP State President BY Vijayendra stated, "Senior
leader and Congress MLA BR Patil has thrown light on the grave situation
prevailing in the state. Patil has exposed the corruption within the department
entrusted with providing housing to the poor." The controversy erupted
following an audio recording of Patil's phone conversation with Housing
Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan's private secretary, Sarfaraz Khan, which went
viral and prompted embarrassment for the ruling Congress government.
Patil, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Karnataka
State Policy and Planning Commission, confirmed the authenticity of the audio,
asserting, "It is my voice in the audio. I have spoken... I have said
whatever I had to." He expressed uncertainty regarding potential actions
from the Chief Minister.
Vijayendra further asserted, "This Congress government has become a curse for the poor people of the State," accusing the administration of rampant corruption that is now coming to light through Patil's revelations. He emphasised, "The BJP will take to the streets on this issue."
