Members of Pro Kannada Organisations led by Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Party leader Vatal Nagaraj protested at Hardinge Circle in Mysuru on Sunday demanded that the Union Government banned IPL and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru after the stampede incident. Protesters also demanded the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) provide a Rs 5 crore compensation to the families of the victims who died in the stampede. The BCCI should not be a silent spectator, they said. Nagraj also criticised Opposition leaders HD Kumaraswamy, BS Yediyurappa and others for demanding the resignation of the CM and DyCM. These leaders also have no moral right to seek resignation from the CM. Such incidents were also reported during their tenure without any action.
