Bengaluru, 25 May

In a late-night crackdown, Devanahalli police raided an alleged “rave party” at a farmhouse near Kannamangala on the city’s outskirts and detained 31 youths, including seven women, who were reportedly under the influence of narcotic substances.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by ACP Naveen conducted the raid around midnight, who found several youths intoxicated. The search led to the recovery of banned substances including ganja and suspected cocaine.

Preliminary investigations suggest that most attendees were software engineers from other states. Blood samples have been collected from all detainees to confirm drug consumption.

Local residents, disturbed by loud music amid rains, alerted police suspecting illegal activity. The scene inside the farmhouse was reportedly chaotic, with liquor bottles and drug paraphernalia strewn across the premises.

Bengaluru Rural Police have taken the farmhouse caretaker into custody and are interrogating him. Efforts are on to identify the organisers and the source of the narcotics supplied for the event.

Some individuals allegedly fled the scene during the raid. A case has been registered at the Devanahalli police station, and further investigation is underway.
