The actress who filed a rape case against Kannada TV actor Madenur Manu in City has retracted her allegations, describing the matter as a "personal misunderstanding." The 33-year-old actress clarified that there was no malicious intent behind her earlier claims.

Hours after Manu’s arrest on Wednesday, a video emerged in which the actress stated, "There were personal differences and a fight between us. I did send messages to producers, and I now realise that was a mistake." She explained that her messages were not meant to sabotage the upcoming film in which both actors are cast, emphasising that the issues between them were private.

She further added, "Whatever happened between Manu and me is personal. The messages I sent were not intended to harm the project." She also expressed that even if she faced repercussions, "no one—Manu, the producers, or the film team—should be blamed."

Meanwhile, police officials from Annapoorneshwari Nagar questioned Manu and seized his phone for forensic analysis, including call records and exchanged messages. Manu dismissed the rape allegations as "baseless," claiming they were an attempt to damage the film’s prospects. The case has taken a surprising turn with the actress’s retraction.
