A long-standing dispute between two autorickshaw drivers in Rajagopalnagar turned tragic when one allegedly pushed the other to the ground, resulting in death. The deceased, 55-year-old Rangaswamy, a resident of Basappanakatte, was known to verbally abuse his fellow driver, Vinay, who also resides in the area. On Tuesday evening at approximately 9.30pm, Rangaswamy, reportedly intoxicated, confronted Vinay outside a bar, launching into another tirade of abuse. A heated argument ensued, which escalated to violence as Vinay allegedly pushed Rangaswamy, causing him to fall and sustain a severe head injury. Rangaswamy was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries late on Wednesday night. The Rajagopalnagar police have arrested Vinay on suspicion of culpable homicide, and investigations are ongoing.
