BENGALURU, 22 MAY

 

Police have confirmed that a woman whose body was discovered stuffed in a suitcase on the outskirts of City was strangled to death. The grim find occurred near Surya City, where the suitcase was abandoned on railway tracks in Anekal. Authorities suspect that the woman may have been murdered elsewhere before her body was disposed of from a moving train. Superintendent of Police (Bengaluru Rural) CK Baba stated, "The woman was strangulated, and the body was likely pushed from a moving train."  The investigation is in its early stages, with the primary objective being the identification of the deceased. Six investigative teams have been assembled to pursue leads. Preliminary examinations revealed no signs of rape or other injury marks, raising further questions about the circumstances surrounding her death.
