KOLAR, 15 MAY
Kolar Congress MLA Kottur Manjunath on Thursday remarked that he doubted whether the Pahalgam terror attack actually happened as no security personnel were present at the site at the time of the attack.
Manjunath questioned how the assailants managed to flee unnoticed by security personnel after killing 26 people.
He said that the Indian government could not provide evidence about the Indian armed forces launching attacks on the hideouts of terrorists or killing them.
The government also did not furnish details of the terrorists killed.
“The terrorists should have been caught and handed over to the widows of the victims of the attack,” he said.
The Congress MLA further said that while India claimed to retaliate against Pakistan, the number of casualties, along with the damage caused to the neighbouring country, could not be confirmed.
He said the Indian government instructing the Indian Air Force to fly some fighter planes across the sky and claiming it as war is not sufficient.
Instead, the country should have waged an Israel-like retaliation against terrorists and eliminated them.
