Karnataka among top scorers in CBSE as girls lead the way
Karnataka outperforms the national average in CBSE results with Class 10 at 98.90 percent and Class 12 at 95.95 percent

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results for Class 10 and Class 12 examinations on Tuesday, with Karnataka emerging as one of the top-performing states in the country. Nationally, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.66 per cent for Class 10 and 88.39 per cent for Class 12. Karnataka students outperformed the national average, with Class 10 students achieving a pass percentage of 98.90 per cent and Class 12 students recording 95.95 per cent.
Bengaluru, under the CBSE’s regional division, ranked third in Class 10 results and fourth in Class 12, placing it firmly among the top regions nationally. Vijayawada and Thiruvananthapuram retained the top positions in both categories.
Girls outshone boys across the board. In Class 10, 95 per cent of girls passed compared to 92.63 per cent of boys. For Class 12, girls achieved a pass rate of 91.64 per cent, while boys stood at 85.70 per cent.
The exams were held from 15 February to 18 March for Class 10, and until 4 April for Class 12. In Karnataka, Class 12 exams were conducted across 180 centres, and Class 10 across 323 centres.
Students can access their results at cbseresults.nic.in or via DigiLocker using their roll number, school number, and admit card ID.
