Two parked cars were destroyed in a fire early Monday morning in Valmiki Nagar under Byadarahalli police station limits. The blaze, reported around 1.30 am, is suspected to have been caused by a faulty car battery.

Eyewitnesses saw flames emerging from the engine compartment of one vehicle, which quickly spread to a second car parked nearby. Residents alerted the fire brigade, which responded promptly and extinguished the fire before further damage occurred.

Fire officials confirmed the cause as a suspected battery malfunction. No injuries or casualties were reported. A case has been registered at Byadarahalli police station, and an investigation is underway to determine possible negligence or other contributing factors.
