BENGALURU, 9 MAY
The police seized 100 kg of ganja worth
over Rs 3 crore from an apartment in Karpoora village in Anekal taluk in
Bengaluru Urban district on Friday.
The primary accused identified as Sachin
from Kerala, was taken into custody after he attempted to flee by jumping from
the apartment’s first floor and fractured his leg in the process. He is
currently undergoing treatment at the Narayana Health City.
Three other suspects, Rashi, Sanju and
Umaid were absconding.
The police also recovered weighing scales,
packing tapes and several ganja packets, suggesting the gang repackaged and
distributed the contraband from the flat.
The gang reportedly sourced ganja from other states and sold it to local customers.
