Man killed in revenge attack by nephew

A 32-year-old man was hacked to death by his nephew in the
Tin Factory area of the state capital on Sunday night, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Sirajuddin, a resident
of Ramamurthy Nagar police station limits. Police said Sirajuddin lived in
Govindapura earlier and moved to his current residence around four years ago.
Investigations revealed that Sirajuddin was involved in the
murder of the accused’s father several years ago. Since then, the accused his
sister’s son, had been plotting revenge.
At around 7.30pm on Sunday, while Sirajuddin was walking
near Tin Factory, the accused confronted him, attacked him with a machete and
fled the scene. Passersby rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to
his injuries later that night.
Ramamurthy Nagar police registered a case and have launched a manhunt for the absconding accused. Preliminary investigations suggest that the murder was premeditated and motivated by personal vendetta.
