BENGALURU, 25 APRIL
In a supportive gesture for participants of
the upcoming TCS World 10K – 2025 Marathon, the Bengaluru Metro Rail
Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced earlier metro train services on
Sunday, 27 April.
As per the official notification, metro
operations will begin at 3.30am, a significant three-and-a-half hours ahead of
the usual Sunday start time of 7.00am. This change will affect all four
terminal stations as well as Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station at Majestic.
During these early hours, trains will run at a
12-minute frequency to facilitate smooth and timely transport for marathon
runners, volunteers, and spectators.
BMRCL officials stated that this initiative
aims to improve accessibility to the event and encourage greater public
participation in this year’s 17th edition of the annual international road
race. It is also part of a broader effort to promote health, fitness, and
community engagement across Bengaluru. -SALAR NEWS
