MYSURU, 12 APRIL
Mysuru police have busted a sex racket that was coercing college-going
girls into the flesh trade. The case came to light after the parents of a
student from a college under the NR Police limits filed a complaint.
Police arrested Naveen and Manasa, both residents of
Mysuru, for their involvement in the racket. Manasa, who had recently returned
from Dubai after working there for several years, had settled in Mysuru and
began befriending college girls. She allegedly lured them into the trade with
promises of money, expensive gifts, and a luxurious lifestyle.
One of the victims, a college student, reportedly fell
into depression after being repeatedly harassed by Manasa and Naveen. The
accused threatened to leak her intimate photos with clients on social media if
she didn’t respond to their calls.
Following their arrest, both Naveen and Manasa were remanded to judicial custody. Narasimharaja Police have intensified the investigation and are gathering more information from Manasa. A case has been registered, and further inquiries are ongoing.
