BENGALURU, 8 APRIL

A man has been arrested following the suspicious death of his 29-year-old wife, Bahar Asma, at their home in Kanakanagar. The couple, who married two years ago, reportedly had frequent disputes, with Asma allegedly distressed over her husband Basheerulla's suspected extramarital affair.

While initial investigations suggested suicide, Asma's family contends that she may have been murdered and subsequently hanged to simulate self-harm. A case has been registered at the Hebbal police station against Basheer, with authorities examining all angles, including the claims of foul play made by Asma's relatives.

Basheer remains in custody as the investigation continues to establish the circumstances surrounding her tragic death. The police are actively assessing the husband's involvement in the incident.
