Youth hacked to death in public in Kengeri

BENGALURU, 7 APRIL
An unidentified youth was hacked to death by a group of
assailants near a restaurant in Banashankari 6th Stage around 10 am on Monday.
The crime spot falls within the jurisdiction of the Kengeri police station.
According to police, the victim – aged between 25 and 30
years– was walking past the area when he was attacked by the gang. They hacked
him multiple times on the head, limbs and a few other parts and left. He
succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
The victim was reportedly wearing a white shirt and blue
trousers at the time of the attack. However, his identity is yet to be
established.
Kengeri police conducted an initial inspection and shifted
the body to Rajarajeshwari Nagar Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case
has been registered, and a search is underway to trace the killers. They have
also collected CCTV footage from the locality.
A police official said, "Once we establish who he is, we may be able to determine who wanted him dead, and why."
