Man’s body found in bushes near Peenya

The body of a man was found dumped in a bushy area near
Panchamukhi Layout in Karihobanahalli, under the jurisdiction of Peenya police
station, sources said on Sunday.
A local resident found the body on Saturday morning and
reported it to the police control room around 7.30am. Police conducted a
preliminary investigation and shifted the body to Victoria Hospital for
post-mortem examination, the sources said.
A police official said the deceased is aged between 25 and
30 years, but his identity is yet to be established. He said it appeared that
he was a migrant labourer from Bihar.
"Based on preliminary investigations, it appears that
the murder was committed elsewhere," said Deputy Commissioner of Police
(Bengaluru North) Saidulu Adavath, who inspected the crime scene. "We have
started an investigation after we received the alert early in the morning,” he
said.
Police sources said they were yet to find the location and motive of the murder. Identification of the victim will help the investigation, they said.
