BENGALURU, 1 APRIL

The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has announced reliable and affordable transport services for spectators attending the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 T20 Cricket matches at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The BMTC will operate the special bus services from M Chinnaswamy Stadium to various destinations on the days of the matches.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) has also announced special traffic arrangements in view of the upcoming IPL matches at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Traffic restrictions will be enforced from 3pm to 12am on the days of the match, which include 2, 10, 18 and 24 April as well as 3, 13 and 17 May.

During the match hours, parking will be strictly prohibited on Queens Road, MG Road, Cubbon Road, Raj Bhavan Road, Central Street, St Marks Road, Museum Road, Kasturba Road, Ambedkar Veedi, Trinity Junction, Lavelle Road, Vittal Mallya Road, Kings Road and Nrupathunga Road.

Parking spaces have been arranged at St Joseph’s Indian School Ground, UB City Parking Lot, BMTC TTMC Shivajinagar (1st Floor), Old KGID Building, Kings Way inside Cubbon Park and the basement parking of St Joseph’s Boys High School.

METRO EXTENDS TIMINGS

Meanwhile, Namma Metro announced on Tuesday that it would extend the timings on match days.

"The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited is extending its train services until 12.30 am from Whitefield (Kadugodi), Challaghatta, Silk Institute and Madavara. The last train from Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station Majestic towards all four directions will leave at 1.15 am," it said in a statement.
