BENGALURU, 24 MARCH

Former Bigg Boss Kannada contestants Rajat Kishan and Vinay Gowda are under investigation after allegedly posing with a machete in a social media video, raising serious public safety concerns.

The incident was uncovered by Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Bhanu Prakash, who monitors social media for unlawful activity. The video, posted on Kishan’s Instagram account ‘bujji’, depicted the duo brandishing the weapon in a public area in a menacing manner, reportedly instilling fear among viewers.

On 20 March, following PSI Prakash's report, the Basaveshwaranagar Police Station registered a First Information Report (FIR). Authorities are examining whether the machete was real or a prop, as even licensed weapon displays can lead to legal repercussions.

Officials have reiterated warnings against showcasing weapons online, emphasising that such portrayals can foster a culture of intimidation. The police are committed to safeguarding public order and will determine further action as their investigation continues.
