BENGALURU, 20 MARCH

Authorities are implementing stringent measure to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of class 10 Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations in Karnataka beginning on Friday ending 4 April. A total of 8,96,447 students will be taking the exams in 2818 centres. The Department of Primary and Secondary Education, along with the Karnataka Examinations Authority, has said webcasting will be con-ducted at examination centres to curb malpractice, while prohibitory orders will be enforced within a 200 metre radius of exam centres and all computer centres in the area will remain closed. All examination centres will be equipped with CCTV cameras and webcasting facilities. The transportation of question papers to the centres will be video graphed to prevent paper leaks, authorities added.
