Bengaluru, 11 MARCH

A 42-year-old woman, Manjula, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her Mathikere residence on Tuesday afternoon.

Sources said that she was a  former State General Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha. Police said she was found hanging from a ceiling fan around 2.30pm, with a death note nearby.

Preliminary investigations by Yeshwanthpur police suggest she had been battling mental distress since her husband’s death.

The note cited emotional turmoil and stated she was responsible for her own death. Neighbours, noticing no movement, alerted authorities.

Her body was sent to MS Ramaiah Hospital for post-mortem, and

investigations are underway.
