A 42-year-old private firm employee was found dead under mysterious
circumstances inside his car on Thindlu Main Road late on Saturday night. The
deceased, Ashwin Kumar, from Gokul Layout, Mathikere, was found unresponsive in
his vehicle near Kodigehalli police station.
According to the police, Ashwin had left home in his car on
Saturday evening. When he failed to return by late night, his family grew
concerned and tried calling him repeatedly, but his phone went unanswered. They
subsequently alerted the police, who began tracing his phone’s location.
By around 11.30pm, the police located Ashwin’s vehicle
parked near a flyover on Thindlu Main Road. Officers found him slumped in the
driver's seat, unresponsive. Despite attempts to rouse him, including tapping
on the car windows, there was no response. The police broke the car window and
discovered Ashwin was dead.
Preliminary findings revealed that the car’s windows were
rolled up and the air conditioning was switched on. The vehicle had run out of
fuel, causing it to stall. While authorities are considering suffocation due to
lack of ventilation or a possible cardiac arrest, family members have expressed
suspicions regarding the circumstances of his death.
A similar incident occurred within the HAL police station limits on 20 February, where a 37-year-old techie, Santosh Prasad, was found dead in his car, having suffered a cardiac arrest.
