In a significant drug bust, the City Crime Branch (CCB) arrested a Bachelor of Science (BSc) student for allegedly peddling narcotics and seized 522 grams MDMA crystals worth Rs 55 lakh from his possession. Acting on a tip-off about drug distribution near Shampura and Kaveri Nagar in the DJ Halli police station limits, the CCB’s anti-narcotics wing conducted a targeted operation. Officers intercepted the student at the location and, upon inspection, found him carrying MDMA crystals. During interrogation, the accused revealed that he had established connections with drug suppliers in Kerala, who paid him a commission to deliver narcotics to clients in Bengaluru. Police also seized two mobile phones from the suspect, which are being analysed for further leads.
