Kannada television actor Charith Balappa has been booked in yet another harassment case, following a complaint filed by a 37-year-old woman from Annapoorneshwari Nagar. According to the woman, she and Balappa were in a romantic relationship after meeting during a TV serial shoot in Bengaluru. However, Balappa ended the relationship and later married Manjushree.

After his divorce, Balappa allegedly reinitiated contact, professing his love and attempting to coerce the woman into a physical relationship. When she refused, he reportedly blackmailed her, threatening to release private photographs.

The woman first approached Amruthahalli police, but due to jurisdictional issues, the case was transferred to Annapoorneshwari Nagar police. Authorities noted that Balappa and the woman initially became acquainted through the serial shoot in Bengaluru.

This case adds to several prior allegations against Balappa. In December 2024, a 29-year-old actress filed a complaint accusing him of sexual harassment and blackmail involving private videos.

Balappa's ex-wife, Manjushree, also filed a complaint alleging threats after sending him a legal notice. The Sarjapur police registered a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) in that case.
