Techie killed as scooter gets tangled in cable wire

BENGALURU, 25 JAN

 

 A 23-year-old techie lost his life after his scooter got entangled in a cable wire on Old Airport Road, leading to a fatal accident. The scooter lost control, causing him to fall onto the road, where a BMTC bus, unable to stop in time, ran over him.

 

The victim, Rohit R Patil from Bommanahalli, was riding near the Passport Office compound on ITPL Road around 6.30 pm when the incident occurred. The cable wire, unnoticed by Rohit, wrapped around his scooter’s wheels, causing him to lose balance. Despite efforts, the bus could not stop in time.

 

HAL traffic police have launched an investigation and are looking into the circumstances surrounding the cable wire on the road. The body was sent for post-mortem at CV Raman Hospital and later handed over to his family.
