A Bengaluru-based influencer, Neha Biswal, has alleged that she was molested by a 10-year-old minor boy while walking down a street in BTM Layout on Tuesday. Biswal, who was recording a video blog on her way back from work, was approached by a boy riding a bicycle. She described how the boy initially rode in the same direction as her but then made a U-turn upon seeing her. He greeted her with a ‘hi’ and mimicked her speech before groping her.

 “This has never happened to me, so I feel really bad,” she shared on Instagram. When the boy tried to flee, locals intervened, but some residents urged Biswal to forgive him as he was a child. After the boy was caught, he claimed he had lost his balance and accidentally brushed past her. However, it was only after Biswal showed the video evidence that the situation became clear.

Though Biswal did not file an FIR, she expressed concern for the boy’s future and emphasised the need for him to be given a warning.

Reports suggest that DCP South Sarah Fatima said they had apprehended the accused and are investigating the case. -PTI
