The
investigation into the murder of 29-year-old Mahalakshmi, who was chopped into
59 pieces and stuffed inside a refrigerator in her Vyalikaval residence, has
taken a critical turn.
Forensic
analysis has uncovered multiple fingerprints on the fridge. Experts from
Forensic Science Laboratory in Bengaluru are examining the fingerprints to
ascertain whether they belong solely to the main suspect or if additional
suspects were involved, said Shekar H Tekkannavar, Deputy Commissioner of
Police for Central Bengaluru.
This
examination is pivotal in piecing together the events surrounding the crime,
police said.
Vyalikaval
police have brought the suspected killer's brother to Bengaluru for
questioning. During a two-hour interrogation, the brother revealed that the
accused had contacted him after killing Mahalakshmi.
