The investigation into the murder of 29-year-old Mahalakshmi, who was chopped into 59 pieces and stuffed inside a refrigerator in her Vyalikaval residence, has taken a critical turn.

Forensic analysis has uncovered multiple fingerprints on the fridge. Experts from Forensic Science Laboratory in Bengaluru are examining the fingerprints to ascertain whether they belong solely to the main suspect or if additional suspects were involved, said Shekar H Tekkannavar, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Central Bengaluru.
