Rowdy shot in leg after attacking police constable

The city police shot a rowdy sheeter on his leg for attacking a head constable and trying to resist his arrest.


Police said the accused Pavan alias Kadubu was wanted by the police for stripping a youth naked and chasing him in full public.


Speaking to reporters Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West, S Girish said that two special teams were formed to nab Pavan. The police tracked him using his mobile phone location and a team rushed there to arrest him. Pavan attacked head constable Venkatesh and tried to flee.


Police inspector Subramani K asked Pavan to surrender and fired a warning shot in the air. Pavan resisted arrest and tried to attack the police team with a weapon and attempted to escape. In retaliation he was shot in the leg and arrested.


Police shifted him to the Victoria Hospital for treatment. According to the police, the accused has seven criminal cases against.-Salar News
