The Adugodi traffic police have booked a rape survivor for negligent driving. The woman, who was allegedly sexually assaulted by a choreographer, is accused of crashing her car into two parked autorickshaws and fleeing the scene before the incident.

The incident occurred around 11:45pm near Mangala Junction when the woman, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, was returning home with a friend from a pub. According to the autorickshaw drivers' complaint, the woman took a U-turn and crashed into their vehicles, before fleeing the scene with her friend.

Speaking to Salar news, Adugudi traffic police inspector Ashok Kumar said, “The complaint was registered on the same day by the autorickshaw driver for rash and negligent driving. Currently, we will put the case on hold.”

The auto driver chased the car near Forum Mall junction and questioned them about the accident, but the woman and her friend abandoned the car and escaped, the police said.

The woman later sought a ride with a choreographer, Mukeshwaran, who assaulted her sexually. She managed to raise an alarm, forcing the accused to flee. Mukeshwaran was arrested by the police on Monday.

The traffic police have booked the woman under sections related to rash driving and failing to provide information to the police. Salar News
