Bengaluru, 19 Aug

Commuters on the Green Line of Bengaluru Metro are in for some disruptions as the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced the suspension of train services between Peenya Industry and Nagasandra stations on multiple dates in August and September.

This is to facilitate signalling tests on the newly extended stretch from Nagasandra to Madawara. These tests are a vital step towards the inauguration of commercial operations on the 3.14km elevated corridor, connecting the Green Line to the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).

The affected dates include 20, 23, 30 August, 6, and 1, September. Additionally, there will be altered timings on 24 and 25 August. The last train from Nagasandra to Peenya Industry on 24 August will depart at 10pm instead of 11pm, while the first train on 25 August will start at 6am, an hour later than the regular schedule.

BMRCL has urged passengers to plan their journeys accordingly, as no metro services will be available between Peenya Industry and Nagasandra on the specified dates. The Purple Line, however, will operate as usual. Salar News
