The Bengaluru City Police on Tuesday launched Project Khushi, an initiative aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles among its personnel, officials said.
A pilot of the project was conducted in September 2025, with participants showing significant improvements in their health and wellness, they said.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh said, "While we have seen our personnel benefit from the three-month programme, the aim is for them to build long-term habits to lead healthier lives."
He said the initiative, which began with the Electronic City Police Division, was being expanded to cover more personnel and provide them with structured health interventions that would benefit the police force.
According to a police statement, Project Khushi is being implemented by Happiest Health, Titan Company Limited and Bangalore Indiranagar Rotary Trust to promote healthier lifestyle choices among Bengaluru City Police personnel.
Happiest Health is an integrated healthcare, wellness, diagnostics, digital health and knowledge enterprise, it said.
Health assessments conducted before and after the September 2025 pilot showed that 61 per cent of participants recorded lower blood sugar levels, 70 per cent corrected their Vitamin B12 deficiency and 59 per cent lost between 0.5 kg and 6.1 kg in weight, it said.
Participants reported improvements in stress management, sleep, digestion, physical activity and overall energy levels, highlighting the impact of simple and sustainable lifestyle changes, it said.
"Our pilot project with the Bengaluru City Police has shown that if we encourage people to adopt good lifestyle practices, it helps them lead a healthier life," said Raghu Krishnan, CEO and Chief Editor, Happiest Health Knowledge.
"While there is a lot of buzz around longevity, our focus is on people leading a better healthspan," he added.
The programme will cover 600 participants over three years. The first batch will undergo a three-month physical and digital health and wellness programme from September 8 to December 6, 2026, combining digital engagement with regular in-person sessions, the police said.
As part of the programme, participants will undergo health assessments covering blood tests, BMI, waist-to-hip ratio and weight management, along with wellness surveys to track their progress, they said.
Project Khushi will conclude with a comprehensive assessment of the participants’ 90-day wellness journey and a programme report documenting their progress from Day 1 to Day 90, they added.
