MANDYA, 7 JULY

Two men tragically lost their lives on Sunday after their motorcycle reportedly collided with the railing of a bridge over the Visvesvaraya Canal at Mandya in the State. The incident occurred around 2.30pm within the jurisdiction of the Koppa police station. According to law enforcement officials, the riders were returning to their village when the motorcyclist lost control while crossing the bridge, resulting in the bike crashing into the railing. Both men fell into the canal and died instantly, police confirmed. Details about the deceased are yet to be released. A case has since been registered, and following post-mortem examinations, the bodies have been returned to their families.
