KOLAR GOLD FIELDS,

As part of its
efforts to strengthen India’s indigenous defence manufacturing ecosystem, BEML
Limited, a Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has unveiled
a major infrastructure expansion at its KGF complex.
The commissioning
of three next-generation units dedicated to defence production signals the
BEML’s strategic intent to scale up indigenous capabilities and accelerate the
delivery of mission-critical military platforms.
Built to support
the servicing of Armoured Recovery Vehicles (ARVs) and for manufacturing their
advanced variants, the three new facilities mark a new chapter in the
production capabilities of the BEML.
They are equipped with integrated stores and logistics sections to
streamline component flow and reduce turnaround times.
Designed for smart
manufacturing, these facilities will enable high output in production, rapid
integration and quality-controlled assembly – empowering the BEML to meet
defence needs of the country.
BEML CMD Shantanu
Roy, while inaugurating a 24x7 Occupational Health Centre at the KGF complex,
said this expansion comes when the Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission is reshaping
India’s defence sector.
Roy said, “It is
more than just an expansion – it is a strategic leap forward. These units
enhance our capability to deliver high-performance defence solutions at scale
and reaffirm our commitment to being a trusted partner to India’s armed forces.
We are not just making in India – we are engineering, innovating and leading
from India.
