Kempegowda International Airport, in partnership with Bengaluru’s Museum of Art & Photography (MAP), has launched art museums in the domestic and international terminals of Terminal 2. The initiative offers travellers a chance to experience art through innovative digital installations.

“Our collaboration with MAP aims to transform Terminal 2 into a lively hub of discovery and engagement. By presenting art in an accessible and interactive manner, we hope to provide travellers with moments of pause, inspiration and reflection,” said Hari Marar, MD & CEO of Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL).

The museums feature digital exhibitions showcasing works by renowned artists such as Jamini Roy, Jangarh Singh Shyam, Jyoti Bhatt, Suresh Punjabi and LN Tallur. Additionally, there are curated displays from MAP’s extensive film collection, including posters and stills from Bollywood cinema.

Interactive puzzles inspired by artworks like SH Raza’s ‘Universe’, Jamini Roy’s ‘Last Supper’ and NS Bendre’s ‘The Lotus Sellers’ offer engaging experiences for passengers. A selection of unique home and lifestyle products based on the museum’s collection is also available for purchase.

At the international terminal, the exhibition ‘Bhuri Bai: My Life as an Artist’ features original works by the Padma Shri-awarded painter, celebrating her artistic journey. Abhishek Poddar, MAP’s founder, said this partnership will broaden appreciation of South Asian art and culture.
