Defence Minister Rajnath Singh flagged off the first Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk1A produced at HAL's Nashik facility, describing MK1A - which is replacing the retired MIG-21 fleet - as a shining symbol of India's Aatmanirbharta in defence.
