NISAR satellite launched

India and the US marked a major space milestone with the successful launch of the jointly developed NISAR satellite. ISRO’s GSLV-F16 lifted off from Sriharikota at 5.40pm, placing the 2,393 kg satellite into a Sun Synchronous Polar Orbit.
