Police have arrested Om Prakash’s wife Pallavi and daughterKriti in connection with the incident.
In his complaint at HSR Layout Police Station, Karthikesh

past week, prompting the former top cop to leave home and stay with his sister,
Saritha Kumari, for safety.
According to the FIR, two days before the incident, daughter
Krithi visited her father and convinced him to return home. It is learnt that
after a heated exchange of words, Pallavi allegedly threw chilli powder on
Prakash’s face before stabbing him to death, police sources said.
As the hefty former police chief of Karnataka scrambled for
relief from the burning sensation, Pallavi stabbed him multiple times with aknife and bottle, killing him on the spot, sources said.Sources said the murder
was the result of frequent domestic disputes between the couple.
Karthikesh recounted that he was at the Karnataka Golf
Association in Domlur when a neighbour, Jayashreedharan, called at around 5.10
pm, alerting him that his father was lying motionless. “I rushed home and found
police and locals gathered. Inside, my father was lying in a pool of blood,” he
stated.
He has requested legal action against both his mother and
sister.
Meanwhile, when police took Pallavi to the scene of crime, she told reporters present there that “domestic violence” was the reason behind the extreme step.
