  • Karnataka State Police Run 2025

Bengaluru, 9 March

 The Karnataka State Police Run 2025, in its second edition, witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 20,000 participants, including senior citizens, professional runners, and differently-abled individuals, joining hands with the state police for a healthier society.

Organised in collaboration with State Bank of India (SBI), the event featured 5km and 10km runs, promoting awareness about drug abuse, traffic violations, cybercrime, and women's safety. The run commenced from Vidhana Soudha, passing through Cubbon Park, Kasturba Road, Queens Circle, and Police Thimmaiah Circle, before concluding back at Vidhana Soudha.

The marathon was flagged off by Home Minister G Parameshwara, in the presence of Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) Dr Alok Mohan, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda, and other senior officers.

Runners, brimming with enthusiasm, were cheered on by live music and the police band, adding to the lively atmosphere. Participants, including police officers from different districts, praised the initiative for encouraging physical fitness and social responsibility.
