A Mega Job Fair held at Khuddus Saheb Eidgah Ground on Saturday attracted over 3,000 job seekers, with more than 200 private companies conducting inter views. Organised by the Presidency Foundation, the event provided fresh graduates and job aspirants a vital platform to explore employ ment opportunities. At least 150 candidates received offer letters on the spot, while many others were shortlisted for further rounds or are awaiting confirmation for jobs and internships. For many, the fair was a crucial opportunity in an uncertain job market. “A job fair like this helps fresh graduates like me find internships and job openings without much hassle,” Ameen Khan, a Business Management student told Salar News.

Several candidates travelled from neighbouring districts in search of better prospects. Ramesh Gowda, an MBA graduate from Tumakuru, said, “There are very few companies hiring in my hometown. This job fair gave me access to multiple companies in one place.” Commerce graduate Fatima Banu from Ramanagara also found the event beneficial, meeting recruiters from five different companies. “I hope at least one of them selects me,” she said. The fair, organised in association with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC), Karnataka State Minorities Commission (KSMC), and the Department of Employment and Training, Karnataka Government, included over 50 stalls where candidates were guided to opportunities based on their qualifications.

However, some attendees remained cautious about their chances. Harish Kumar, a BBA student, expressed concerns, saying, “I’ve attended three interviews so far. The recruiters say they will get back to me, but I don’t know if that will actually happen.” Despite such uncertainties, several candidates secured job confirmations. Priyanka Sharma, a commerce graduate, received an offer from a BPO company, while Naveen R, a diploma holder in mechanical engineering, was selected for a manufacturing role. The event was inaugurated by BZ Zameer Ahmed, Minister for Housing, Waqf, and Minority Affairs, along with the founders of the Presidency Group of Institutions, Salman Ahmed and Suhael Ahmed.
